Marine Mammals of the Western Hemisphere

I found an out-of-print U.S. government poster in the garbage with illustrations of every marine mammal in the Western Hemisphere, originally painted by artist Rod Ruth.  I cut out each animal from the poster and proceeded to create a series of abstract collage works on assorted found objects to highlight both the human threats facing these organisms and the spectacular diversity of species within this animal lineage.
