Most of these works were made for an exhibition at the environmental non-profit, the Ocean Conservancy. I walked the beaches of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and collected various items, both natural and synthetic, and made monochrome relief prints from each object in a mediation on permanence and biodegradation. I apply paint to the object then transfer it carefully to the paper/cloth through a manual rubbing/pressing process.
